Like many of his countrymen, 2399 Sowar Kartar Singh made the supreme sacrifice. He died on 30th November 1917 whilst serving in the 2nd Lancers (Gardner's Horse) the son of Lachhmi, of Bholeke, Gurdaspur, Punjab. India.
